Supercar and Superbike Start-Up

Visitors to Beaulieu this Bank Holiday Monday, 30th August, have a treat in store with an opportunity to hear the unique melodies created by the multi-cylinder engines of a number of the National Motor Museum’s most prestigious supercars and superbikes, as they are put through their start-up paces in the Beaulieu Arena.

Supercar Startup
The line up will include some of the earliest supercars in the Museum’s collection such as the 1903 Napier Gordon Bennett, the 7.4 litre 1909 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, the 4.5 litre 1930 Blower Bentley Le Mans replic and the stylish 1935 Auburn 851 Speedster. Among the bikes represented will be a 1914 Royal Enfield and a 1928 499cc Rudge-Whitworth. From the sixties, visitors will see and hear the ex- Mike Hailwood 1961 Honda RC162. Modern superbikes will include a 2008 V8 Chevy Engine machine.
Bringing the supercar line-up bang up to date will be a McLaren F1 GTR, a 2008 Alfa Romeo 8c and a Ferrari Dino.

Supercar Start-up will take place at 12 noon and again at 4pm and can be enjoyed as part of a visit to the whole Beaulieu Attraction including the World of Top Gear’ exhibition. For more information visit:
